Record Group: 14 C Record Sub-Group: 16 Records Title: UMC; School of Medicine; School of Health Related Professions; Administrative Records Dates: 1976-1994 Volume: 15 and 2/3 cubic feet, 19.57 linear feet Scope and Content Note This Sub-Group holds records of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine's School of Health Related Professions. Though the School of Health Related Professions was a largely independent administrative unit, its Director reported to the Dean of the School of Medicine. Included in this Record Group are committee meeting minutes, correspondence, graduation lists, course proposals, grant information, long-term care data, nursing home information, and records relating to the Midwest Council for Social Research, in-home care, respite care, and independent living grants. Also included in the Sub-Group are gerontology conference reports and records pertaining to the Center for the Study of Aging, Alzheimer's disease, Canadian health care, gerontology extension, food banks, and rural geriatric education. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:14/37/1 (A90-60) This Series contains UMC School of Health Related Professions administrative records (ca. 1976-1983). Included in this Series are correspondence files, graduation lists, course proposals, and meeting minutes of the School of Health Related Professions Coordinating Council and Curriculum Committee. (1/3 c.f., 126, 3) Series 2. - C:14/37/NP (A97-51; A98-17; A01-39) This Series contains administrative records of the UMC School of Health Related Professions' Center for Aging Studies (CAS) (1975-1994). The records consist of correspondence, project and program files, manuals, reports, and grant materials. Topics within this Series include long-term care, the Midwest Council for Social Research, in-home care, respite care and advanced respite care training, Alzheimer's disease, Elderhostel options, rural geriatric education, gerontology extension, Canadian health care, and independent living grants. Reports in this Series include the annual reports of the CAS (1983-1986) and a report from the Gerontology Conference meeting (n.d.). The 1980 CAS Bylaws can be found here in addition to the correspondence records of Ed Vaughan (1980-1986) and Dean Rich Oliver (1994). Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
