Scope and Content Note

This Record Sub-Group contains audio tapes, correspondence, press releases, and copy script created by or routed through the Office of Public Information. The audio tapes are 1/4 inch reel-to-reel and contain recordings of University of Missouri musical groups and speeches by University of Missouri President John Weaver and ABC news anchor Howard K. Smith, among others. The correspondence and other records are related to the individual tapes.

Series Descriptions: This Record Sub-Group is not divided into series. It is arranged chronologically. The correspondence and other records originally enclosed in the tape boxes have been removed and filed following the audio tapes. Content and date information are taken from the box or tape labeling or from the accompanying materials.
