University Events promotes the University through public relations events. The records consist of speech texts, programs, newsclippings, agendas, guest lists, memoranda, invitations, and fiscal records. The Sub-Group also contains video tape and DVDs of a variety of events organized by the Office of University Events. Series Descriptions: Series 1 - C:1/145/NP (A99-41) This Series consists of records created by the University of Missouri-Columbia's Office of University Events, (1993). It contains records of Football Brunches hosted by Chancellor Charles Keisler. (1 c.f., 104748) Note to Researcher: This Series is currently unprocessed. Until fully inventoried and processed, portions may not be fully available to researchers. Series 2 - C:1/145/1 (A01-28; A04-77; A08-59) This Series contains event files created by the University of Missouri-Columbia's Office of University Events, (1983-2008, bulk 1990-1999). The event files contain fiscal records, programs, newsclippings, press releases, agendas, guest lists, correspondence, memoranda, invitations, and some texts of event speeches, remarks or introductions. The Series also includes video from the Schutz Award Lectures, the Kemper Awards faculty announcements, and other events. Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
