Scope and Content Note

This Record Sub-Group contains administrative and other records created by the Chief of Staff or Deputy Chancellor in the Office of the Chancellor at the University of Missouri. The records consist, among other types, of correspondence, memoranda, reports, budgets, plans, unit reviews, speeches, presentations and publications, and meeting and task force files.

Series Descriptions:

Series 1. - C:1/23/4 (A13-70)
This Series contains administrative and other records created by the Chancellor's Chief of Staff/Deputy Chancellor Brady Deaton at the University of Missouri, (ca. 1985-2004, bulk 1993-1996). The record types and topics consist, among others, of correspondence, memoranda, reports, budget allocations, niche plans, program reviews, Chancellor's speeches, accreditation, presentations, publications, meeting files, water quality, and the Student Fee Task Force. Deaton served under Charles A. Kiesler and Richard Wallace; records from both periods are part of this Series.

Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
